In our fourth episode, Chioma Anyadoro interviews Michael Whitten KC, a distinguished barrister, member of the King’s Counsel, and former Lord Chief Justice of Tonga. He emphasises the importance of internal discipline, particularly the art of concentration, to avoid feeling overwhelmed. He discusses the necessity of self-protection, which enables consistent performance and self-appreciation. Additionally, he differentiates between genuine burnout and exhaustion, suggesting ways to avoid both, and addresses stagnation as a “byproduct of a one-dimensional existence.”
